I have recently thought of using raspberry pi 2 for digital signage. It has the interface and chassis layout for it. It is small and it can be customize for any signage needs.
I recently wrote a program that write itself and learn and write own code(kind of). The best application that may need it is robotics and data critical systems that needs to adapt quickly to different situation. It also perfect for games that has ai that level up by self and learn from player and reprogram itself. Apparently, Processors are designed with more core per die than higher frequency. Like the Haswell-E Intel Core i7 5960X, the core count has increase and cache but frequency has not dramatically increase. The most significant technology is DDR4 to the lineup of Haswell X. As I predict, the processors are going to increase in cache and new technologies will increase performance without increase frequency. Computer CPU are increasing in cores and turbo frequency. It seems that processors will be so fast that no one can see the difference, except in high processing loads like gaming and high data interactions.
Video cards industry with Nvidia, AMD Radeon are battling each other in high performance graphical processors. The GPU are going faster and faster and games are getting more real and more graphical intense. I wonder if the GPU need to go to next level, so it can handle more realistic games. It seems not a lot of good games came out, it is only Diablo 3 and Starcraft II - Heart of the Swarm. I will see if there are more things coming up that After a few months of play Diablo 3. I think it is a great game. You can actually be very powerful if you know which skills. Demon Hunter and also Barbarian are very powerful hero classes. Deamon Hunter had long range weaponry and powerful invading skills. I beat Nightmare and Hell and now I can do one shot kill with Loaded for Bear Cluster Arrows with Chakram for secondary and Biola shot for Primary (Or Impale, Over-penetrate). If you want ultimate Demon hunter, you should get any item with Dexterity and Vitality and get rare/ unique items.
For Barbarian, I did not die at all in Norma due. Level 32, Demon Hunter, best way to take Diablo himself,
Primary: Bola shot with Thunder ball to stun Diablo. ~320 attack; 3200 HP, ~620 Armor You can check out the Skill Calculator here Level 17, suggest Demon Hunter with Bola shot, Chakram, Shadow Power/Preparation, Spike Trap with Steady aim.
Build - http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#WegVS!Y The game is great. I wish they fixed the server error the first day 5/15. After the server was up again, I keep playing the game.
I play Demon Hunter. I am in level 10, Entangling Shot, Rapid Fire with 2 Crossbow (2 one-handed cross bow). The trick to play Demon hunter, shoot from a far, when it get close, move back and attack again with smoke screen.. It works great with numbers and tough situation My observation for the new Sandybridge E is that they are not increasing the cores and thread, but increase cache from 12MB - 15MB and turbo from 3.73-3.9Ghz. So, it seems the trend may be to increase cache and turbo frequency instead of increasing cores (may not have significant performance gains?). I will do some research and blog about it.
end GCU Inc geek. If you want the best for your gaming like Starcraft 2. I suggest not too fast CPU processor, but go all out in the video card. If you are playing Civilization or some less graphic intense game, I suggest a faster processor than high end video card like a Geforce GTX
580/570. Memory is fine, anything with 8GB or 12GB DDR3 with high bandwidth . |
